The finale of The Late Show was as ambitious as it was emotional. My department was tasked with creating a vortex representing the destruction of Late Night which we conceptualized, storyboarded, and collaborated with writers, producers and directors to achieve the final result. Shot over a period of weeks with multiple guest appearances we maintained a cohesive look and executed the vision to perfection. Green screen shoots with actors in harnesses, painting out the rigging, shooting the plates, keying, compositing, color correcting and 3D modeling of the Ed Sullivan theater interior and exterior.... it was a monumental task.
